The Alcázar of Seville (Spanish "Reales Alcázares de Sevilla" or "Royal Alcazars of Seville") is a royal palace in Seville, Spain, originally a Moorish fort.

The Almohades were the first to build a palace, which was called Al-Muwarak, on the site of the modern day Alcázar. The palace is one of the best remaining examples of mudéjar architecture. Subsequent monarchs have added their own additions to the Alcázar. The upper levels of the Alcázar are still used by the royal family as the official Seville residence and are administered by the Patrimonio Nacional.

Realizing it's Only Tuesday...

really effs up your Friday

I can finally breath a sign of relief now that I've survived my first night in Sevilla. :D It's been quite the crazy paseo so far. First off our connecting flight from Madrid to Sevilla was right when we landed so we had to RUN through the airport, shotgun it through customs and work our way through the labrynth called Terminal 4 to 4s in the Madrid airport, seriously... what german engineer designed that shit? escalators here, stairs there, go up, down, sideways... then run all the way to the end... so exhausting.
Once we arrived into Sevilla things were sort of easy, Megan and I met Katie at the airport who thankfully waited for us. Apparently our shuttle driver got arrested?!? so we had to take a taxi into the city. Then we didn't all "fit" into one taxi and our drivers were just like listos! and kicked us out into some plaza. We went to the tourist center, and no one here knows where ANYTHING is, its kind of funny. There aren't any street signs, they are just marked on the walls of the buildings, that was some getting used to. after wondering aimlessly for a while we finally found our hostel Nuevo Suizo. The sign was in comic stanza, a font I DONT trust lol After we took care of all of the logistics of checking in and all that jazz we could chillax for a while. Colleen and Callie were already here so they could help us get adjusted. Megan, Katie, and I roomed together and slept for about six hours, then Erich, then Kayla, then Josh, then Kevin arrived and the whole gang was here. We decided to go out to and ended up at Cuna 2 and ate outside. Some rando guy from south africa came up and sang to us...then tried to sell us some shitty bracelets. Our "jefe" Erich lol told him to go F&^k off and leave us alone.
After that we bought beers out of the vending machine which was interesting lol def dont see that in 'murica! bc we realized its tuesday and no one goes out or parties...we wanted to get bucky like a friday!
My first night was crazy to say the least... the next entries will be like snippets with pictures of what ive experienced here instead of all this reading... bc who likes to read? lol more to come for sure kiddos!
